Great flavors, fresh ingredients, and unique options. Started with the guacamole app and it was nice and fresh with good chips. Mom ordered the pulled chicken, which she liked, and I got short rib with spicy mole. I regret the spicy mole, it was too hot for me, but the short rib was phenomenal. Had one of the best pina coladas of my life here. Definitely do order a cocktail! Only minor complaint was the noise level - both outside and inside was too loud with music blasting and this was only 6 pm, forcing people to scream and I did not enjoy being forced to listen to the nauseating conversation of the people next to us. Prompt and friendly service.

Amazing meal at Bakan!!! Still thinking about the ceviche cocktail - amazing portion, seafood was perfectly soft and tender and the tomato-based sauce was PERFECT. Another standout dish for me were the churros, didn't expect them to be filled with chocolate which was a pleasant surprise and the cinnamon ice cream served on the side was perfection. Ate outside and the vibes were great , looking forward to going back & trying more things.

I came to Bakan to celebrate my wife's birthday and had a fantastic experience. We ordered the ceviche tostadas and the tomahawk, both of which were amazing. The space has a great Tulum vibe with both indoor and outdoor seating. The seats were very comfortable, and the service was outstanding. We were also greeted by the manager, who acknowledged my wife's birthday, adding a special touch to our evening. I highly recommend Bakan to anyone looking for an excellent dining experience with top-notch food, service, and atmosphere.

I went to Bakan with a group of friends on Memorial Day weekend, and it did not disappoint. We sat out on their patio, and the ambiance was absolutely beautiful. Our server was attentive. I enjoyed a paloma and shrimp tacos. One of my friends is a vegetarian, and they made her veggie enchiladas, which aren't even on the menu. They were accommodating, the food was delicious, and the drinks were refreshing. I highly recommend it if you're looking for good Mexican food in Wynwood.

Updating my reviewing and dropping a star. I came back here after having my boy which is now 2. This location is kid accommodating. They had no high chairs nor bathroom changing tables. I ordered a chicken rice and beans for my boy. The chicken was not tender it was hard to chew.

Been to Bakan three times and will say this is an easy 5 star rating! Each experience has been magnificent! The blue tortillas are fresh and the food is packed with amazing flavors and spices. Fair warning, most of the dishes do have some level of spice to it, so if that's not your thing you've been warned aha. The guac and chips with the blue chips is a must have, if you're into ceviche I can recommend this option as an appetizer too. These are two of my favorites and they both pack so much flavor and a nice kick which pairs exceptionally well with a mezcal margarita. If you're into mezcal, this is THE spot! Bakan has an extensive list of mezcals you can order and the cocktails are amazing. Not feeling the smokey mezcal flavor? Try an artisanal mezcal and you'll thank me later! The main courses I have gravitated towards the enchiladas every visit and they don't disappoint! The chicken and chorizo one is my favorite followed by the verde chicken enchilada. The atmosphere is awesome too, the outdoor decor and vibe is fun. There are also TVs set up with a bar if you're trying to catch a sporting event and the playlist for the music is usually spot on too. Solid bites, drinks, and a really fun time!

Gotta go for the bugs. Chapolinas...grasshoppers to you pedestrians. They are great for tacos, 100% protein. Salty, crunchy, delicious with a shot of mezcal with a slice of orange and worm salt... Wait what? Worm salt?? You heard me. They used to have maguey worms too, didn't know if they still do. Very fresh, very clean food. I felt refreshed, (and a little drunk from mezcal) and was amazed at the flavors and brightness of the food. That dang green hot sauce is addictive, be ware !! The service was great, glasses only ran empty once. I am a thirsty chap, so that's important. I've been here a few times, and it's always the same great quality, same great experience. See you soon

My son and I came to sample their Mexican offerings. The interior is stunning. We loved the atmosphere and ambiance. We sat in their pleasant breezy part outdoor area. The service was friendly and efficient. Their cocktails were simply AMAZING. Looked gorgeous and tasted gorgeous. We enjoyed our food as well. However, to be noted I wish their two main dishes came with some colour on the plate (the colours were purple and black and could have looked more appealing). I also missed a crunch from perhaps a mini salad, salsa.

Great Mexican food here. They make their own Molé sauce, which I absolutely love. Two different kinds of Molé sauce, one spicy, and one not too spicy. They serve blue chips with it, which are made in house and taste amazing. Services is great. They have a couple of different bugs that they serve here crickets and agave worm and something else. I can't remember what he said. He brought us out an agave worm to try. The flavor was extremely interesting. Don't know if I'll have it again, but at least I tried it. It had no sauce or anything. He just brought it out to try. Really great service here. They have several different kinds of mescal that you can match to whatever food you're eating.

I went for lunch and loved the chic but relaxed ambiance. Perfect for a place to dress cute but without the pressure of super fancy places. The server was nice but the food was ok. I got the queso fundido with chorizo and it was delicious but also melted cheese in general is delicious. However, I had the grilled octopus (pulpo) but I was pretty disappointed. It was too chewy and too salty. The steak my friend ordered looked pretty good so I would give this place another shot with a different dish. The guacamole and beans on the side were yummy though. Overall I'd recommend checking Bakan out. It's been on my list for a while and glad I finally got to try it. Also the virgin mango drink was pretty good!
